St. Michael's College Celebrates 150th Anniversary with Historic Alumni Cricket Tournament
Our esteemed Brotherhood school, St. Michael's College, is joyfully commemorating its 150th anniversary with a series of exciting programs organized by the Alumni Association.
During the initial phase, they are delighted to announce the T10 cricket tournament, featuring hardball cricket, scheduled to take place on the 29th and 30th of July at the prestigious Shivananda Ground.
This historic event will witness the enthusiastic participation of alumni from prominent schools in Batticaloa, including Shivananda National School, Methodist Central College, Hindu College, and, of course, our own St. Michael's College.
The primary objective of these competitions is to foster camaraderie among the different schools and their esteemed alumni. Notably, this marks the first time in the district's history that a hardball cricket competition between old students will be conducted, adding a unique and memorable aspect to their 150th-anniversary celebrations.
We, the PPA (Past Pupils' Association) of MCC, wholeheartedly encourage all alumni to actively participate in this event and support our old boys.
