2010 Batch Initiates Scholarship Support and Sinhala Class

Methodist Central College, Batticaloa, consistently produces exceptional students, and some of them contribute significantly to the school's development through the Past Pupils Association. Notably, a few batches have demonstrated remarkable unity and have been actively engaged in various school projects. The 1998 Batch, 2004 A/L Batch, and 2005 A/L Batch have been actively supporting the school for several years. Joining this tradition, the 2010 A/L Batch has recently initiated projects for the betterment of the school.

One noteworthy project by the 2010 A/L Batch is the establishment of a Sinhala Class for students, which has been running successfully. During the PPA's Annual General Meeting, the Chairman of the WAEDF (WILLIAM AULT EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT FUND) highlighted the need for 50,000.00 to complete the next three months' payment for the students' scholarship scheme. Demonstrating their commitment, the 2010 Batch agreed to cover the remaining balance. Accordingly, they generously deposited 75,000.00 into the WAEDF account, for which the entire team deserves our gratitude.

The collective efforts of these past pupils reflect their dedication to the betterment of the school and the education of its students. Their continuous support and unity serve as an inspiration to others, and their contributions have a lasting impact on the school's growth and success. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire team for their remarkable commitment and generosity.
